Road Cases

Road cases are typically used for large bands moving lots of instruments, electronics and support equipment on large cross country tours.  However, the fundamental design of a road case makes it desireble for individuals looking for maximum protection along with complete flexibility in size and interior design.

These cases are based on 1/4" plywood frame that is assembled using extruded aluminum seams, rounded metal corners, recessed aluminum latches, piano hinges and wheels.  While these features make the case very strong, it can also be heavier than other solutions. The inside of the case can be finished in a variety of materials and can be compartmentalized to fit your specific needs.  We specialize in configurations for multiple instruments such as 2 mandolin and a fiddle, or 2 guitars and a mandolin.  The inside can accommodate anything, including electronics, microphones, merchandise and cables.

Lightweight Flight Cases

Our lightweight flight cases are a unique product designed specifically for hard to case items such as harps,dulcimers and keyboards.  This case design has been in use for many, many years and have carried some of the world's finest harps.  They offer a lightweight option that can be managed by one person.  Each of these cases is custom made to fit a specific order.

 These cases are made with a 1" Iso foam that is wrapped in 8oz fiberglass cloth and encapsulated with epoxy.  The inside is finished with a soft gray velour.  Unfortunately, the inside of the case is wide open and no additional compartmentalization or padding can be done.  The finished case is then wrapped with a custom made 1000 denier Cordura shell in your choice of 12 colors.  The Cordura shell is easily removed for washing and repair.  The case is closed with a large #10 zipper, but additional latches can be ordered if preferred.  The case generally has two large external pockets, handles on all sides, a removable shoulder strap and a set of carrying handles.  Additionally, we have several different wheel options available for this case.

Molded Cases

Molded cases can be made with carbon fiber or ABS.  These cases are usually customized to fit a specific instrument on the inside, but use a standard shell on the outside.  So the limitation is that the instrument must fit within the confines of an existing shell.  Making custom shells is not an option due to the very large price point. We don't make any molded cases ourselves.  Instead, we have searched worldwide to bring you what we think is the single best selection of molded musical instrument cases available anywhere in the world, and certainly in any single Internet site.  We are official dealers for Accord, Hiscox, Hoffee, Karura and Workhorse cases.  All these molded cases feature different technologies, configurations and price points.  There are many variables in these cases and it can be confusing, so we recommend contacting us for some suggestions, based on how you plan on using your case.
