Hard Cases

Hard cases provide the ultimate in protection and may be suitable for use as checked airline baggage.  The trade off for the increased protection is that they weigh more than soft cases and are frequently more bulky.  We make our own hard cases for harps, hammered dulcimers and keyboards.  We also are dealers for three premium brands of hard cases for use with guitars, banjos, mandolins and violins.  Rigid cases are frequently used for the following reasons:

Before ordering a Calton, Accord or Karura case, please contact us in advance for specific details.  All three of these brands are manufactured outside the United States and may have extended wait times.  These three brands cannot be shipped outside the United States.

 

All hard/rigid cases require measurements or tracings, depending on the product.  Complete tracing instructions are available on our home page, or you can contact us for tracing assistance.  In general all harps will require a set of tracings.  Items which are square, rectangular or circular may only require measurements.  Again, contact us if you are unsure.

 

Colorado Case Company Superlightweight Rigid Cases typically take about 8 weeks to ship, not including the transit time to your location.  Be advised that due to the size of some harp cases, they will be shipped by Greyhound and require you to pick up at their terminal. Additionally, the online shipping cost estimator may not accurately calculate shipping costs for these cases, hence your actual shipping charges may exceed what you see.
